If you've been dropped, accept the decision publicly and query it privately and professionally. i never once said rio is the best defender in the world, but hes one of the best in this country still! so a defender like rio cant benifit the team like a gerard or lampard wtf! people make out hes got no pace anymore, he has pace he has gud positional sense and he has experience, kelly probably wont even get a game! i must be watching a different game to you cos i thought he played well this season especially when his center back partner got injured before christmas ! whats this about winning it in 4 years time? dont u go into a tournament to win it there and then? had to laugh at your the way hes played this year remark thou that was funny, especially when i see some of the names that are in the squad and those left at home lol!

carroll! whats he done, downing whats he done? milner 3 goals all season not alot for a midfielder or winger!

I have to say that we have to start re building somewhere. 2014 is the main target, and it would be nice to quaslify & go there as the champons of Europe. But at the same time, the FA needs to start planning the season a bit better so the players hasve more time to be better prepaared especially for altitude, (which I believe could be problem there, I'm not sure). As for Rio, I'm not surprised he used twitter in the way Barton does, but then again, he has to support Anton i his case against JT and I'm willing to be JT will walk away from that with his name cleared (If any chelsea fans hear the case!). Rio should have accepted Hodgson's decision.

how the hell Warnock ever saw it fit to give Barton a four year contract is beyond me!! Even when he won't be allowed to play for us we still hsbve topay the nutcase his wages while he can sit at home using teitter. There shouldf have ben a clause in is contract to make sure he isn't paid when he was suspended for any reason!! and £11m to sack him is shocking!! How the fuck are we supposd to get rid of him? I'd say QPr need to take Warnock to court for even sigining him in the first place!!

Based purely on last seasons form Ferdinand is arguably not worthy of a place in the squad anyway. For me the same could generally be said for John Terry and a few others with not so much experience. Based purely on season form Lescott and Jagielka have perhaps been the most consistent and solid but I very much doubt they will both start in central defence against France.

malicious fan - This is just where our opinions will differ and we'll keep going over old ground. The way you talk of Rio, I meant, you make him sound like a world beater. He isn't. Granted this season he has had to cope with the loss of Vidic, but then Vidic has over shadowed him since he's been there but gets nowhere near the credit he deserves, in my opinion. So yes, we must have been watching different games because I think Smalling or Jones would benefit United at the back. Rio will struggle to get in a fully fit United first XI and if it wasn't for Vidic being injured probably wouldn't even be discussing this right now.

Kelly might or might not get a game, but clearly if Rio wasn't in the original squad then I don't think he would be either. Remember the player being called up is effectively at the bottom of the pecking order, so what's the point in taking an ageing 33 year old? Kelly will benefit from this as he'll learn and grow as a player, Rio won't and if anything will disrupt that camp.

As for the other players called up, I'm not saying I agree with them either. I think Milner was poor on Saturday and those who were sat around me seemed to agree. I think he's been pretty poor all season but I'm guessing he's in the team for his versatility more then anything. Downing and Henderson won't feature heavily as they're just there as cover. Carroll might not have had the best of seasons but Roy Hodgson see's him as his striker. I think Crouch deserved to be there but then I'm not the England manager. I also think it is a risk taking only 4 strikers as well, but the fact we're taking 8 defenders probably tells you how we're going to set up. Sturridge is a greedy player but I think I'd have taken him if we're building for the future. He is a game changer and offers something different.

As for the low expectation, yeah I'd love to win it this year. But I think the F.A left it to late in appointing the new manager. R.H has has a very limited amount of time to make these decisions and get the squad in. If we get as far as the semi's then it'll be more luck then judgement. I will be cheering on every game and if we play shit and win then that suits me.

Have you thought by thr way maybe the reasons are he's going to be in team GB ? Perhaps that's why he's been left out the team.

They'd probably be the best option anyway as they were a decent pair at Everton a couple of years back. Like you so though, I can't see it.

The whole "Being Snubbed" debacle is getting boring now, I for one am getting sick and tired of all the news surrounding one player who needs to just needs to accept he's not been selected and get behind those who have.

your rite moneyshot we are jus gonna keep goin over old ground! i knew if i was accused of racial behaviour towards sumone then i would be suspended from work until an investigation, you see its all to do with ethics! the f.a. could have sorted this out by suspending him and stopped all this controversy until the court case but then people will be sticking up for terry saying why should he miss the euros when he might not have done nothing wrong! thats the same case with rio, who is missing the euros cos i repeat his brother might have been racially abused, if hodgson only had the bollox to come out and say the real reason which we all know he wont, cos it will only be another total pr disaster for the f.a.!
