Why haven't the Malyasian police searched for the pilot's wife and 3 kids. They fled the house BEFORE the plane went missing. HELLO, this is odd.

But surely it would have been done by now wouldn't it? Why wait to carry out the operation, because every delay increases the risk of discovery and the plot being foiled before it can be put into action?

They are saying that there is a chance the plane flew over land as far as Kazakhstan. And nobody can say if this is so. If they can't detect a huge airliner then how much use are the missile shield systems in detecting smallish ballistic missiles, really.
I find it hard to believe that the U.S. don't know. They have a major base in the Indian Ocean don't they. Diego Garcia. Were they asleep?

If the disappearance can be explained by the actions of a single person I think yes it's is the most likely explanation. Why he would do it is unknown, but sometimes people do strange things and you can't always know how people are thinking from what you see on the surface. But if the captain decided to hijack the plane and was acting alone, he would face opposition from the co-pilot who would likely inform and recruit the rest of the crew and maybe the passengers, so he would have many people fighting against him. If he was alone in the cockpit he could use the plane against them, such as rapid changes of altitude and depressurisation, but if they got through the door it would be over and the plane would be back on radar somewhere and would re-establish radio contact. So either he won the fight against the others or he wasn't acting alone. To win a fight to the death against hundreds of passengers and your own crew would take a very ruthless streak and there were no indications that either pilot fitted this profile at all. On the other hand if both pilots were in this together then most likely none of the passengers would have noticed anything unusual until the time the plane was due to arrive. Everything would have seemed entirely normal and the pilots would have had the freedom to do anything they pleased. So I think that both pilots had to be involved and it's unlikely they were both suicidal, so there must have been a significant reward available or a religious or political motive to take the plane away to a specific place. A religious or political motive would mean crashing the plane somewhere in 9/11 style, but for any reward to be collected or they would have to survive which means that would need to have landed somewhere. That somewhere must be in the northern arc of the satellite signals, because the southern one only covers the sea of the Indian Ocean.

Not true. All the pilot would need to do is kill the co-pilot first. Once the co-pilot's out of the way he can do as he pleases.

To Completely disappear without trace is weird enough, but how about this for a theory and if any of you guys ever thought about this?:-
Could the pilots and passenger been involved in a possible plot to seek asylum in another country - if they were trying to escape any kind of brutal dictatorship back home? If this was the case, then therefore, the pilot deliberately turned off the tracking systems so that thdey could have flown to wherever they wanted to seek asylum - without the authorities knowing?

What about Israel? Don't they know anything? Israel has the most advanced tracking systems in the world and is tracking everything all the time.

They would have to switch the communications systems back on in order to land anywhere, which would immediately give their location away. Besides any countries that would appeal to asylum seekers were well out of the plane's fuel range.

RE: News around the World - Chat and Discussion
The friends of the pilots are springing to their defence and assuring us that they would never do anything like this. Still someone was piloting this plane. If it was someone other than the pilot or the co-pilot then the cockpit must have been breached and the crew disabled. Any such action would have been obvious to the flight crew and the passengers, not to mention that any abrupt manoeuvre of the plane would significantly alarm passengers. One person alone would not be likely to take over the plane, breach the cockpit, disable the crew, and fight off the flight attendants and reactionary passengers. There would have to be several members of a terrorist team to feasibly accomplish this. Such a cell should be easily identifiable by an examination of the flight manifest, but investigations of the passengers have yielded nothing. That brings us back to the possibility of a complicit crew, which I think is unlikely. Could a member of the crew disable others in the cockpit and go rogue while attempts were being made by the other flight crew and passengers to breach the cockpit? Weird to say the least.

Yes. One of the pilots would just need to kill the other one (or possibly give him a sedative). So long as he did it quietly nobody outside the cockpit would know there was anything wrong.
