Pleased for Michael Carberry too. After a tricky few matches he produced a good knock with early chaos around him as 3 wickets went down in 3 balls.
He and Morgan played intelligently to rebuild the innings before Jos Buttler's excellent contribution to win the match.

I wonder why England have picked a specialist spinner if he's only going to bowl 4 over.
They had part time spinner ball Tredwells over 6 overs.

They could have picked another quicky instead..

Also why hasn't Luke Wright been used...

Australia got 298 all out....

England were going nowhere at 103-5 until a 92 run partnership between Bopara 62 & Butler 42 which gave them some hope. However when both were dismissed in quick succession & the run-rate in excess of 2/ball it's only a matter of time.

Latest - England 240-9 - 59 required from 18 balls

Another awful one day performance from the England b team, the poor fans who have paid good money to see a entertaining and competitive series have instead been lumbered with this sorry excuse for a side.

How dare you ,sir ! *
(* -Don't worry I'm being sarcastic)
How the England management can claim they're protecting the players from burnout is ridiculous .The public paid up in advance for this series against Australia and have been "rewarded" with a second rate team ,with performances to match .When's the next game ? November ! They'll get plenty of rest now won't they .
Wait until they get to Australia and we'll hear the excuse "Oh , you've got to realise some of these players haven't played since August .They're short of match fitness and form". Pathetic !
