ETV 10th anniversary "Ball" (October 23, 9:30pm UK/22:30 CET)
A polite drinks event that turned into a kinda orgy. Is this really the way to celebrate the legacy of a great institution like ITV? (I say "like", their names are practically identical.) I'm glad they brought back the Eurotic TV neon sign; I thought the old name was never used anymore.

Caps only, sorry for the awful webstream image quality – these are the caps I didn't reject. The other forum should have a few nice quality TV videos.

Overall, having had zero expectations, I thought it was an OK (slightly strange) marking of the occasion. At least they didn't ignore the past in order to claim the channel's "never been better". The kinda-orgy wasn't as carefully managed as current ETV shows. Because of the booze there was actual tongue-kissing and breast-licking, and some of that made it to the screen. Other stuff was obviously happening we weren't allowed to see – I'm sure I saw two couples tribbing on the edge of the screen while a text message was shown on the plasma screen. Tribbing is like the acceptable form of lesbian sex on TV, cos regulators don't know what it is.

A sterling effort and patience beyond reproach to get all those caps.

I think it was live simply due to the preamble before and a comment or two at the hour mark when they thought they had to get outa there.

Not worried if I mis-identified Hans. Als So (if you still listen you know where I come from) He came over as a bit creepy. Someone who could not believe his luck getting that job.

Yeah I didn't like him much, but he was director for a lot of my favourite episodes, if I remember correctly. I'd give him the benefit of the doubt unless he was horrible in real life or something.

Yip. They sure did it 'my way'. Think I used that line myself in the past.

Never met Hans (thankfully). Think his English was worse than his German. But I did meet Veni and Georg (remember them ?). Del Boy and Rodney had nothing on those two.

Speaking of classic clips, biqle dot ru has apparently been trawling the web for old (2005-09) Eurotic TV clips. It's got loads at the moment, do check it out.

At that time Eurotic's hardcore sister station was INXTC TV, with many of the same presenters. This particular clip is teasey like ETV was - with Kaleya, Safo and Dorian having sex with some guys. Have the pause-button at the ready, it's only shown fleetingly and tastefully eek
