All those 'protesters' at these parties. Why do they all look like that weren't born when when she was in power? or at least very little.


These must be the rent a protest group that turn up to any protest at anything becasue that's what they think the young and students do.

The Notsensibles entered the chart at No.35 and didn't get introduced although was played. Then in the countdownfrom 40-31 she just said "The Notsensibles have a new entry at 35". I've got a vinyl copy of this in pic sleeve. "Little Boxes" and "Gary Bushells Band Of The Week" on the B-Side. on the Redball Records label

Funnily enough, this 'furore' could (and should) have been solved very easily, ages ago.

I don't object to the inclusions of downloads in the charts, but I think there ought to be some sort of cut-off point (say, 6 months) after which records are counted in a sort of "seniors" chart instead. That would cover this week's problem, last week's silliness with Ant & Dec, and the perennial crap every Christmas where we have to endure Mariah Carey and the friggin Pogues in the "real" chart.

It's rather sad that such an elementary solution appears to be overlooked in the pantomime of BBC - & Thatcher-bashing.

Just a thought. I wonder if in a dew months time it will be revealed that "Ding Dong" had actually sold enough copies to be No.1 but the chart was rigged as in The Queens Jubillee year when The Sex Pistols "God Save The Queen" should have rightly been No.1

But the charts mean absolutely nothing these days. You only need to sell a few thousand copies and it's number one. And that depends on whatever else is released that week. If it's a slow week in winter a few hundred will do.

Probably spotty teens thinking they are rebelling against the establishment. Nothing to crow about.

so your only allowed to be political if your over 30 thats what the right wing media and the tories want as they know people under 30 dont buy the telegraph express or the mail and they certainly dont vote tory

the youth got more right than most of us to protest at the moment with student debt to get degree and no chance of getting a job with or without a degree.

reminds me of me leaving school in 1990 after thatcher had her way and almost destroyed manufacturing in the north west before when u left school it was either college or you could work as an apprentice and work your way up into a skilled postion there was very few people unemployed
that all changed under the tories and thatcher.

we became more shirkers than workers. They will say the country had to be sorted out but the same had to be done with both France and Germany and they seemed to have done an awful lot better than us by retraining there workforce to make them comptetive.

thatcher and cronies made us into the sick man of europe not anyone else.

And i for one will be celebrating with a drink on wednesday and will be rememebering 2 close school friends who were writtern off by her and the goverment and who couldnt survive and never made it into there mid 20's always think what could have been of there lives. there will be 1000's 10'000s more like them im afraid thats whats the scandal not some kids partying !!
