It looks to me a show on it's last legs which is a shame, the new studio is awful and everytime you turn on Bambi seems to be on if she's tired she's partly to blame after all who sacked Donatella, the busiest girl she had, and Nikki two of the longest serving girls on the show?

I don't claim to know all the ins and outs of why Donatella and Nikki were sacked, nor have I spoken to Bambi as much as other people here ,but I believe I know her well enough to believe she would not sack anyone without a valid reason or more likely without pressure from Cellcast. With Charlie off ill (and Sophie also struggling with illness) and Jo currently off on a weeks break things are obviously stretched a bit thin.
These are tough economic times and Cellcast are clearly feeling the pinch. It seems to me they have decided to put most resources into the more 'sexual' channels, and the Chat seems to have taken most of the cuts-the reduction in hours and the loss of the offscreen misters. But I know Bambi has fought tooth and nail to keep the chat going and will continue to do so, all we can do as fans of the chat is to keep supporting her in that fight and keep supporting the channel. All businesses are feeling the pinch right now, my own place of work is working with an absolute minimum of staff to keep going and if illness were to strike we would struggle too and I'm guessing the Chat is in the same position, but hopefully if we all keep supporting it things will soon tun around again! fingers crossed anyway.

when i first started watching the chat about 8 months ago it was always with a plain white background, alright not the best but the studio isn't what makes the show it's the girls, the viewers, the people who call in, people who text in everyone joins in and makes the show, just because they haven't got some design behind the girls what all of a sudden the show isn't what it was that's just crap the show is just as good as ever if you don't like it fair enough but give it chance things will improve, as for blaming bambi for sacking donatella and nikki do you really think bambi would sack someone without huge pressure from people above when nikki and donatella were very popular girls and were normally busy so don't you think the pressure came from above not bambi, her hand was forced from above for whatever reason and i don't know what that is as it's none of my business, bambi has been on alot this week but with charlie being ill, jo off on holiday, bobbi off trying to further her singing career yes it's down to it's bare bones but i'm sure bambi's got a few new girls coming in and by the sounds of it laura b is gonna be doing more shifts, so what the show does'nt need is people saying it's on it's last legs when it isn't all that's gonna happen is the rot will set in just because of one rumour that has no backup

Any chance of Bambi sacking Layla so she'd have to do the night shows?

Brummie the reasons for Donatella and Nikki being sacked may be valid or not, but whatever they are they're not down to making cutbacks or saving money as the girls only get paid when they're on. So it doesn't matter if they have only 4 different girls appear each week or 24 they only pay say £100 a shift so it doesn't matter how many girls appear they only pay out the same amount of money. The girls are not on retainers, though I don't know if Bambi is different as she's the boss, they only get paid per show.

RE: The Chat Supporters
Look people lets just put the nik and Dona thing to bed now, girls are into there show buissness jobs and none of it regular anyhow. Not like going to work 9 to 5 or working in a hospital etc at nights. As much as we love watching the shows by the time they are 35 or 40 thats it most girls are put out to grass. Only a few become really house hold names. All the show with girls on that you watch on sky are looking tired and I'm meaning the chat too. If girls really want to work you'd have a que to fill each program. Everyone is right to think the show will go tits up and not too sure the girls will worry too much about it. But I guess if they owned a house had kids they wouldn't be doing what they do for a living. What happens in the end oh they make a few singles(music) or appair in a magazine or ad some where and after their 5 min of fame thats it. And thats not me having ago it's telling it like it is as I've been there. If tv stations really liked the girls they would all have regular program slots on regular days. That way it don't seem like a micky mouse company running it. Bet you don't give two shiney shites about what us the watchers of the show think or want. I'd miss Bambi and Jo who would the rest of you miss and why?

RE: The Chat Supporters
It was Tuesday she worked Smart Live Casino and she has been off again since as she was scheduled to work Wednesday 5-9pm on The Chat, Thursday on SLC and Friday on The Chat and she only did the one on Tuesday because it was her first night there.

Anyone who knows Charlie knows that she must be ill to stay off.

In regards to Nikki and Donatella, Bambi having got back some of the hours needed to feel that the girls were 100% committed to the show, which with Nikki's committments to other projects and Donatella having a couple of slack shows as even she has admitted to she felt that they weren't 100% committted to the show and therefore took the decision relucently to let them go.

Well now that it isn't owned by Cellcast but by an Irish Company and now broadcasts in Southern Ireland with text and phone numbers for Irish viewers and with plans to bring in a short code number that you can call from your mobile for the same cost as ringing from a landline, it may still not be back to what it was but I wouldn't by any means describe it as a show on it's last legs.

Don't think you will ever see Layla on the night shows but I do know she is working on getting a personal website set up.
