These channels need to start thinking of something new to do to improve the climate! Smoke FX, black lighting etc. At least then they'll be allowed to go nude and not cover themselves, which might make it at least a bit more fun than what we see night after night. Sometimes even knowing they are nude and not covering can be exciting enough, since we won't be seeing any detail.

^^^ Yep, anybody who considers that to cause "widespread offence" has led a extremely sheltered life IMO.

That was one of their occasional rule interpretation reminders which listed several practices which are unacceptable in any circumstances and added a final item saying that certain types of girl/girl contact carried a "high risk" of running foul of their 'Generally Accepted Standards' non-definition. They quite specifically didn't say those things were banned and it's quite evident from some of what I've seen since that the channels understand this but seem to have decided not to take any risk unless they think it's in their interest to do so (e.g. a certain channel's relentless promotion of its encrypted so-called "porn channel").

All that clarification notice says to me is that the channels need to be careful not to overdo it. Since the rule and its interpretation have been in force for a considerable period of time during which a great deal of 2-4-1 content has been shown without any challenge fron Ofcom I really don't understand the channels' knee-jerk reaction.

I don't get it either! I just watched two women eating each other out on one of the 300 channels, without explicit shots, but much more explicit than the adult channels. I guess context plays a part eh

Anyone who watched 'Tipping the Velvet', 'Lip Service' or 'The L Word' (I think that was shown on UK tv?) won't get it either.

Never mind anyone who flicked onto either Channel 4 or Film 4 (I don't remember which) on the night I did, to be suddenly confronted with a full scale orgy showing a blowjob in graphic detail. No namby-pamby viewed-from-behind-the-woman's-head malarkey, it was the full works, and not in the backgound either, the film's principal actor was walking around the group observing the action.

Sorry if late for the party (or lack of these days) but what happened to all these lovely 2 for 1's etc. Have ELITE been slapped on the wirst or something?
