While I have no doubt Chappers paid Ms Massey a fortune to get into her panties under the guise that they were making 'porn' I still doubt she's worth that much even with the escorting but I could be wrong. Huge difference between £250 for an 8 hour shift and £1000 an hour even if one involves talking and the other dating, even if one rate is average and the other is top. The babes that do both would not chase TV work if they could get the same money for fewer hours and less effort.

Theres a lot of myth about real figures and most models are coy about saying how much they really earn because of envy and because admitting to lower earnings will limit their chances in future.

The telecoms companies take a large cut of all premium rate calls. Studio costs mount up. Studio & call company bosses are going to make sure they take a big profit. That doesn't leave a huge amount for the models and they can be replaced easily. My bet is they get good money but not fantastic.

If I ever leave PAYE, I'll be in big trouble, but I'm assuming that the canniest of ladies account for the taxman's share. I have no doubt that some, or several, of them manage to clear a low six-figure income but holding onto it, then saving or investing what remains would make it tricky to get multi-millionaire status. If a named example like Gemma Massey is an exception and gets closer to, say, £300,000 a year, it gets more likely that the quoted figure is kosher. Presenting that amount to a financial advisor would make it a whole lot easier to acquire a London property that may only be part-paid for, but could add a million or two to calculated worth.

£1000 an hour or £8000 the night may imply that such a total could be reached with a day or two's work each week, on average. Many may hold up hands in horror at the price, and a select few would refuse to pay less but every level of the market is competitive; steady income is rarely guaranteed.

Still, you probably make connections. Perhaps you do 'only' get £100,000 a year, but you have just seen that nice man from Godolphin and the 4.30 at Kempton sounds promising

As long as they are paying their taxes and not ripping anyone off they are entitled to try and earn as much as they possibly can in their chosen profession.

None of us would be any different.
