Interner Explorer freezing

My internet explorer keeps freezing,crashing,then restarting...it's a fairly new comp,with windows vista...any ideas guys how to stop this????

Sorry, I'm on a Mac and am clueless with regards to PCs. Seem to be others who experience the problem with IE7 on Vista (is that the same version that's freezing for you?) and some recommendations of what you can do...

Well in the second link I provided one of the suggestions of the cause is a corrupt add-on. This could well be the case for you and Firefox. I would google the term: Vista Firefox freeze and see what advice you can find.

Plug-ins can be a nightmare for causing havoc in browsers - well at least you've identified the cause.

I am having this problem too, I have Firefox V3 though. Could be a problem with Firefox maybe?

But the problem is the firefox, because everything till two or three weeks ago worked fine.

It works ok in IE but i really don't like that.

Sounds like your on a Mac Yummyyaz? If its Youtube that's causing the problem you should make sure you have the latest version of flashplayer installed - I thought the youtube vids were flash & not realplayer based.

That may sort things out, long shot, but it may so give it a try...

Freezes are annoying, i just use both IE and Firefox

I haven't done anything and mine now seems to be working fine now....but you know when you get the message at the top of your explorer..the one on this page reads "post reply to internet explorer freezing"...mine sometimes appears in Chinese symbols...

im on vista had this problem as would not connect to dns so couldnt use internet found out that it the norton security have removed now and works fine weird hope that helps also found that the latest version of flash player can cause some problems on vista
