if these players were match fit, would you take them:-

David Beckham
Michael Owen
Owen Hardgreaves

Owen and Hargreaves yes, Becks no.

they would not necessarily start but would certainly be in my squad

they should definetley by in squad, becks and owen would be two great subs to bring on for 30 mins to change a game

not sure about hardgreaves, dont think he's played enough with the rest of the squad

if fit I would rather have Hargreaves in that problem position than Barry

i agree, least hargreaves can use both feet, barry is left foot only and gets into trouble on his right hand side

He is also more athletic and can give us another dimension down the left flank.

what about in the middle, gerrard or lampard, or both together

i think capello has found a way of playing them both at the same time
