A new series premiere tucked away on the Syfy channel about those folklore creatures sirens/mermaids whose beauty & harmonic singing voices are used to lure & trick men to their deaths.An attractive young mermaid named Ryn goes searching for her mermaid friend who got trapped in a trawlers fishing net in a small coastal town of Bristol Cove.

2 Episodes into the series & so far I'm quite impressed maybe it could be down to the whole mystique around mermaids & for a series to attempt to try something different other revert to characters in the Marvel & DC universe.This series definitely seems to lend a nod to Guillermo Del Toro's smash-hit movie The Shape of Water.
