Shane Black's The Predator had a screening last night in L.A., and apparently it was ridiculous horrible according to someone.

Wouldn't surprise me if this is true, considering how bad the script reviews were. Once Benicio jumped ship as the lead, I had a bad feeling about it. I just hope it feels like the first two movies in terms of tone and style.

At least it seems some of the humor works, and that one of the Predator designs is terrific.

I'm a massive fan of the first two movies only, so I'm hoping this will be good enough to call it a true Predator movie, and not something goofy like the AVP movies. On one hand, if this sucks, I'll want it to bomb, but if it's as good or almost as good as P2, I'll want it to be a big success so that the series doesn't die. The lead actor (Boyd Holbrook) won't be enough to sell tickets, so the trailers will need to look good in order to do that, but if the budget is super cheap as predicted, maybe it will have a decent chance of making money at the box office.

Hoping the Upgrade Predator is mostly practical, but I fear it will be entirely CG, which isn't proper for a Predator movie, not from my view. CG for the invisibility cloak is expected, though it would be fun to see the original FX for one of the Predator's cloaking. Full CG Predator without cloaking will be sad to see though.

Also, Alan Silvestri is key to these movies, as his music is gold. Without him, this will end up coming across as more generic and not of as much high quality like 1 and 2.

It’s been confirmed that Star Wars: The Last Jedi run time will be 150 mins making it the longest run time for a Star Wars film.

Watched Justice League will put up a review in the next couple days. All I can it’s not as bad the critics are making out to be but like 99.9% of films not perfect.
