I find that whole "secret guests" hype a bit silly. I can see what Glasto get out of it, but the BBC scheduling it, presumably knowing full well who it will be.

I was bloody cross last night that Kaisers & Liam were scheduled early, when I missed it, and crap like the National and Father Misty were on afterwards.

I was impressed with him too, a bit of a one man band kinda thing. He's a talented guy.

Kaiser Chiefs have really gone downhill in the past while. They haven't been the same since Nick Hodgson left the band. Seems like you're not a fan of the more hipster-y stuff.

It's about the only time I miss BBC3 on telly because then there'd be a few more acts to get grumpy about Wink Seemed bizarre (but perhaps timely) that RnB Man got about 2/3 of an hour and Shaggy got 1/3.

The Gibb and Rodgers sets were solid enough Smile

Caught up with the Sheeran gig - good stuff. I was mentally ticking off the hits as he went through them and thought "he hasn't done You Need Me I Don't Need You yet, he's not dropped it surely?" I didn't appreciate how much I like the song that I was miffed I might miss it.

There's a lot of oddness about headliners which is kinda faffed away with the hype about the likes of Radiohead or Foo Fighters.

Kaisers really went off the boil with their 3rd album if you ask me, though they're still reasonable enough.

Still on with this... the Jacksons gig was a mixed bag. The first half hour had most of their hits, then they did a tribute to Michael (for the 8th anniversary of his death)... and then Tito goes "so I've done my first solo album and here's some songs from it". I wonder how many of the audience went "not now, mate" or "first we've heard of it" or suchlike.

To their credit, they did throw in "Rock With You" and "Wanna Be Startin Somethin" to pad things out.

Also it seems clear that 3 of the surviving Jacksons are talented, and the 4th (Marlon?) is a dick who seems to act like he's better than the other 3, rather than worse.

Did finally catch up with the Radiohead gig. One of those where I'm glad of OSG telling you what song you're watching. I was cynically comparing it to Ed "here's the singles" Sheeran, but then they did enough encores to get through nearly all their hits anyway Tongue
