To be fair, I don't think it has anything to do with being gay, that's a somewhat lazy if not predictable assumption. See the facts remain, it is not a solo scene, so both performers are part of the fantasy. That's one point of view - and well expressed.

Another point of view is that many Viewers prefer an average - or worse - looking guy to be the performer, because that keys in better to the fantasy that it could be the Viewer himself.
In fact, market research done by Ten Network for us states that this is the Viewer preference across all demographics, though weighted to the over 25 demographic.
It is also a fact that all the top performing studs in the UK are over the age of 35 (Tony, Ian, Ben, Paul Back, Wayne and so on). Experience has shown that younger guys generally don't have what it takes to be a consistent porn performer.
