Bluebird - Channel Research : Freeview vs Sky
Hi Guys
We'd be interested to hear what proportion of you watch via Freeview and which via Sky.

Thanks

RE: Freeview v Sky
Sky, Freeview and web streams for me. Smile I prefer watching these channels on Sky, but putting a decent stream together would certainly be very much appreciated around here. Wink

Most streams are far too inconsistent. I know that a number of people on here rely on the streams to watch these shows, as they don't have Sky, and some channels don't broadcast on Freeview.

Putting a quality stream together would go down very well on here, especially if we're allowed to use it to make caps & vids from your shows. Wink

I only really watch on sky. Freeview is evil, but yeah a good quality web stream would be appreciated.

RE: Freeview v Sky
I watch on both and prefer to record off freeview due to the better picture quality. Content wise, Sky all the way as Freeview can get very tame at times that brings with it a lot of criticism. On sky, the general picture quality of the babe channels is not that great. Elite TV is one of a few exceptions and they have the best picture quality. (Although their lighting sucks at times.)

As for streams, HQ with no on screen graphics is the way to go. Teasemetv had/have the best setup. Continuous playback of the stream at good quality without having to refresh every few minutes. A problem that teasemetv had was that they couldnt get the h.264 codec to work with the printed set designs. (loss and slow frame rates)

Sky.

The Elite channels have decent pictures on the TV, and Babestation 909 seems to have the clearest pic of all for me. 960 usually has a terrible picture.

sky all the way for me. i can easily while away the night flicking through the many quality channels. freeview is ok but show too little, also many areas still have temperamental reception. a good stream is a bonus but in my experience the quality isnt as good as tv.
