Klopp bought into the notion that Karius was concussed in the CL final after a clash with Sergio Ramos hence the reasoning behind the gaffes he made in that game.I watched both the Chester & Tranmere friendlies & for me he must still be suffering concussion as he flapped in both games,he looks too gaffe prone to be Liverpool's No1 in the long term.If I was Van Dijk or any other Liverpool defender I'd be pulling my hair out over him.

As much as I like Klopp one of his faults is that he can be cantankerous/pig-headed at times so if fans & media are slating Karius Klopp will persist in keeping as main keeper which may just cost him in the end.Personally I think Klopp should be in the market for a new keeper (get Lovren to have a word with Subsasic who has had a great WC), send Karius out on loan, offload Mignolet & have Danny Ward as the No2.

Well Mignolet will probably be sold and Danny Ward will be given a go in Pre season. I don’t think Klopp is unwilling to change it’s just it will take way more before he does. Which means more fuck ups. He was concussed in CL final and he made those mistakes recently because of the pressure he’s now under. There was already question marks before CL final so after it would hardly improve his confidence.

I don’t think we’ll sign a keeper this summer. Certainly not a world class one. Anyway I don’t think the keeper is the problem, I think it’s the GK coach that’s the problem. Since we’ve had Achterberg we’ve had 2 dodgy keepers.

I have no idea what I'm doing here but I'm here!!!

RE: Liverpool FC
You should have signed Ben Foster, despite WBA's relegation he had a great season and has been very consistent in the last few years.

You could have the best boxing coaches in the world but if you're a boxer that doesn't like getting hit, cannot throw a punch & hates fighting all the coaches in the world aren't going to change you into a credible boxer let alone a contender.I've heard rumours (not very good ones) about Achterberg being a lacklustre coach that has rather outstayed his welcome but would he make worse keepers of the likes of De Gea,Cortois,Lloris,Pickford,Ederson etc.But tbh where would Karius be ranked in the best keepers in the Premiership definitely not in the top 10 in my opinion & for a team that should be pushing on & competing for the title cannot afford to have a keeper that will effectively cost points through errors.

My nephew (who's in his late teens)is a goalkeeper in the non-leagues (& is a Liverpool fan like me) & he points out to me that some of Karius' characteristics are out kilter with the basics ie he tends to make saves with his fists clenched, when making saves he tends to push the ball in front of him (which makes it easier for players to follow up on a rebound) instead of knocking the ball to the sides etc hence why he'll never convince he's good enough.

On another note it looks like Gini Wjinaldum might be on his way to Fenerbache with Liverpool giving him the green light to move on & if I'm honest he never really convinced me he was good enough at Liverpool hence why he was only a fringe player. It looks like the Shaqiri move has edged closer with Stoke wanting Shey Ojo on loan as part of the deal & for me he'll be a great addition to the squad for a good price considering we wanted him several seasons ago before he moved to Stoke.

Liverpool don't have a keeper but they have bought themselves a new forward/winger in Xherdan Shaqiri for £13.75 million.

Maybe but isn't it part of the job of the coach to get out some of those flaws. He does push or punch the ball back into trouble more then he should.

Gini played ok when called upon but with Keita, Fabinho and Ox signed after him he would struggle to get much game time. Shaqiri is a decent signing for his age and abilities if it can be tapped into.
