It means nothing. Higgins is being talked of as being willing (apparently) to throw frames in fairly meaningless tournaments, not for throwing the World Championship.

Organising tournaments for the World Series of Snooker which he and his manager run. Innocent enough on the face of it.

Stephen "Chubby Cheeks" Lee has been found guilty of match-fixing now. I can't pretend I'm upset as I've always hated his guts.

Lee will find out his punishment on 24th September. Ronnie O'sullivan says there are lots more players that have done the same. Seems that snooker cant control itself anymore. Would think that a crime has been committed, and time for the police to be involved. Hern and co will try their hardest to keep O'sullivan quiet I would think. Nothing has improved since Higgins slithered his way out of his dodgy dealing, and it just goes onSad

I like the way Ronnie has cunningly suggested a lot goes on, but that he mysteriously can't name names.

I recently read Willie Thorne's autobiog (in short, he gambled so much it drove him to attempt suicide), and I'm amazed nobody much notices or cares that so many of the tournament sponsors now are gambling websites & the like. It's no better than the days of tobacco sponsorship, except that Barry Hearn et al think their sport is somehow cleaner now.

Golf & Tennis seem to manage without tawdry sponsors like this Sad

Bary Hearn has come out with his usual, cleaning up the sport etc, heard it so often from him. Life ban for Lee, maybe, but Hearn's buddy Higgins did dodgy stuff as well, so how come he just got his wrist slapped. Its farce the way Hearn and co run snooker!

Hearn's now saying Ronnie must name names after all. That might get interesting...
