Thought id do this Thread as the World Cup nearly here and am so excited cant wait for it to begin. Am just praying we don't get taken to a penalty shoot out at some stage cause i think the hole of England will be in shatters having to watch n hope.

Oh it was on football Focus that it is likely Jamie carrager gonna come out of retirement. My personal few is i hope he doesn't would much prefer seeing Michael Dawson given a chance to go as hes been out standing this season.

I too would be disappointed to see Carragher back in the fold. Others deserve a chance, as they've been in better form and have had better club seasons than Liverpool have had.

Dawson, Jagielka and Warnock have all had excellent seasons.

I'm really looking forward to it, plenty of new teams, and in a new continent. Should be great fun. I always try to record all the matches at World Cup finals. I'm going to look to have some time off work while its on aswell to be able to watch it live more.

the reason you ee him making last ditch tackles and alike is because he lacks the natural awareness and positioning of a top top defender , hes also shy a yard or two of pace

i saw in the irror that hargreaves is being lined up to replace barry , if hes 75% what he was he shits all over barry so that wouldnt be a problem but hes not played at all realy so no telling were hes at fittnes wise and to be fair hargreaves best attribute was his sublime fitness and willingness to run his balls off , so in short if hes not fit he shouldnt be there

As for Carra being a shit Defender im guessing that is coming from Utd/Chelsea fans, Carra might not be the best footballer but he`s just as good and committed a Defender as JT who you also see making last ditch tackles, the only reason he don`t get the recognition he deserves is because Liverpool never challenge for the Premier League title.
The same reason Gerrard is always a £30M TRANSFER TARGET for this & that team, Ronaldo £80m, Kaka £56, Bezema £30, Ibrashitovic £60 Gerrard is just as good if not better (when Liverpool do well ie last season) than Ronaldo and he`s 4 times the player that Ibrashitovic will ever be.

As for Hargreaves i think the Def/Mid should be Phil Neville who can also play LB/RB. Also think Paul Robbo should be No1 keeper probs won`t even get in the squad for the same reason as i said that Carra & Stevie dont get the recognition.
I think we will all agree that as long as Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney, Millner are in the squad we will be in with an even chance.

no the reason carra gets overated is his willingness but hes actully not very good but hes very commited

and gerrard is not worth 30 million 20 mybe as hes getting on now so if he sees out a 4 year contract theres no re-sale value


and if capeelo insists on playing a 4 man midfield with lamps and barry*then sticking gerrard out on the left is useless , grow some balls and just drop him to the bench if you dont fancy him in cm or behind rooney

And to be honest i dont think either Gerrard or Carragher have had a great season and I would have doubts with them if they play.
