Admittedly the pandemic has forced some adjustments (does anybody miss celebs going round the track? or the track, for that matter?)

Yes, you can point to retrod ideas (this week being full of them). But they make it seem fresh, and certainly the repeats when they come up on Dave seem more rewatchable than the MLB years.

Yeah, they've definitely made it their own. The ''big three'' stopped being fun on Top Gear imo, it had become stale for me in the last few years they did it. Chris Evans was a huge mistake (what a cunt), but I liked Matt LeBlanc on the show.
I hope they do away with the celeb guests completely and continue to use that time in the way they have been. I do want to see the Stig put cars through their paces on the track, but it only has to be an every now and again thing, just like they've been doing lately. I actually prefer the format they are using for these three, it works, so I kinda hope they don't bother going back to the hanger/track, and just stick with this.

Agree Skully, they have the format right for Paddy, Freddie Flintoff & Chris Harris

RE: Top Gear
Pleasant enough Christmas special. Amusing irony about brand names - as though Dream topping, Viennetta and indeed every single car make aren't..!

Felt it was an entertaining start to their new run. Amazed they would do the Everglades and skip using them funny jet-ski things which always seem obligatory there.

RE: Top Gear
It was nice to see them visit the Freedom Factory, the Cleetus McFarland YouTube channel is entertaining, building stuff, racing it, sometimes destroying it.
Can't get over the fact that Chris injured himself while playing frisbee though. lol.

That he still did the 30 lap race without coming further to grief is incredible, and finished so well too.

Let's face it, if a 6 foot whatever ex-cricketer pulled you up in a Raptor, banged on your window and shouted HOWZAT?!? then you'd probably have a heart attack.
