Top Gear

I thought last nights show was dire,we had an over powered go kart,what is the point of that,£150,000 for a go kart.

Then we had a Skoda which in itself was ok,but all that other shit,tattooist,firemen it was'nt even funny.

Last but not least all the way to Sth Africa to see a Beetle dropped from a helicopter,with a Porsche trying to beat it to the finishing line,it would have been funnier if it had landed on Hammonds head.

Complete and utter waste of our money.

I used to love Top Gear.

It was a decent series opener, not sure I'll be rushing back to re-watch the Porsche/Beetle film, and the Yeti film was probably a bit over long, but the episode as a whole was ok. There did seem to be a bit more of a natural feel to it than previous episodes, and as always the films are beautifully shot and edited together.

The point of it is exactly that - an over powered go kart - the Atom is a serious enthusiasts track day car; and it clearly it delivers.

Well you maybe enthusiastic about about a £150.000 go kart fair enough,but i cant see the point of it.and who cares whether it is one second faster than some other car ,i will agree at least it was a genuine revue(almost),but the rest of the programme was a complete shambles,dropping a car from a helicopter in a race with a Porsche sounds like something from a childs imagination.

Like I said the chopper thing has been done

It doesn't matter if you don't see the point of it or care if it's one second faster than some other car, quite frankly 3 seconds to 60 or 4 seconds to 60 makes no odds to me either. Top Gear is car based entertainment, that's the point; exciting cars and engineering presented in interesting ways, that's what I want and they do it better than anyone else.

Obviously you are entitled to your opinion,maybe a couple of years ago i would have agreed with you,i have been an avid fan for many years,i too like exciting cars,but all this stuff with caravans/dropping cars from a great height/making a Motorhome out of some old wreck,is definitely not about precision engineering.

As i said it is more like watching the "Goodies",very childish.

Hell yes Just a pity I have to wait till last thing on a Sunday night for one of the best things on at the weekend
