Wonder Woman - 9/10.

Exceeded my expectations. A film you think will be good, yet it's so much better.
Oh and Gal Gadot, wow, perfect for the role.

^^^ that’s why for me it’s been my super hero film of the year so far. There’s been so many attempts to do a Wonder Woman and no one was able to do it right and adapting Wonder Woman from comic resources material was very difficult and complex. Patty Jenkins and Co not captured the essence of Wonder Woman but they suppassed themselves. Then there was negative shit Gal Gadot got when she was first cast, having a accent, being too skinny or her boobs too small or wooden acting yet she was made for the role and my eyes was the perfect casting. Then the special effects, story, cinematography, humour, acting and cast, action set pieces and sound track it could have easily gone wrong. That’s why I rate so highly.

Django Kills Silently(1968)

Using the basic elements of the spaghetti western genre quite well and adding a bit of romance to the mix helps this simple but violent story along,as Django rides into a caravan of colonists and helps them fight off a band of Mexican outlaws.

Underworld -Blood Wars (2017);

Not to be confused with the knicker factory in Corrie of the same name (not the Blood Wars part which would sound a bit gross)this film is the 5th film in the Underworld franchise in which the beautiful Kate Beckinsdale reprises her role as the Vampire death-dealer Selene fully kitted out in her traditional skin-tight leather oufit (& looks hot as hell).
Selene & her vampire commune are again under threat from a new lycan threat as well a few trecherous fellow vampires. This was an okay film with great effects & although not the best of the series & seeing Selene adopt a new ability (ghosting) looked pretty cool.6/10.

Enter The Dragon (1973) Bruce Lee stars as a martial arts fighter who enters a tournament to go undercover to expose a criminal mastermind. The storyline is nothing to write home about, but Lee, in his last film, proves to be a charismatic performer and the fight scenes are well choreographed, including a classic 'mirrors' scene at the end of the film. The script is pretty good, and the support performances from the likes of John Saxon, Jim Kelly and Kien Shih are fine too, and theres a funk/Oriental soundtrack from Lalo Schrifin. Also starring Ahna Capri, Robert Wall,Angela Mao Ying,Betty Chung,Geoffrey Weeks,Bolo Yeung and Li Jen Ho. 7/10

Beast From Haunted Cave(1959)

A horror from director Monte Hellman.A group of thieves pull off a heist and hold up at a cabin in a dense wilderness area only to be then stalked one at a time by a mysterious spider like creature that lures its pretty into a cave.Despite the silly looking monster, overall it was enjoyable thanks to some well structured tension and good performances from Michael Forest and Sheila Noonan.

The Satanic Rites Of Dracula(1973)

An imaginatively plotted shocker from Alan Gibson which revolves around Dracula unleashing the bubonic plague onto the world so he can reap the harvest.Well acted by the classic combo of Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing with good support from Joanna Lumley,Freddie Jones and and Michael Coles.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle

This will be a non spoiler review of the movie, first of all I thought the movie was great and enjoyable but not as good as the first film which doesn’t mean the movie is bad in anyway.
If you liked the first film then you’ll enjoy this film, overall what was great was the development and the maturity of Eggsy character without giving too much away and how this film works more on emotional level then the first movie. There’s a great cast in the and even returning characters and a funny cameo from musician.
There problems with the movie some of the characters are under used and would really should have been given more screen time, the plot was a little in places and some things never explained again without spoiling anything. There are two scenes where the camera angle fight scenes were a jarring at the start of the film and at the end of the film the other fight scenes during the film are fine. All tho it was great seeing Harry back and really lifts the film you kinda see they made that up out the of blue but there is a price to pay for his return again no spoilers as what happens.
There were two things I found personally unsettling one is what happens to actor Keith Allen all I say is don’t eat while watching that scene and there’s a follow up scene involving that again it’s a bit nasty. The second scene involves Eggsy having to Glastonbury and it’s what he has to do again i personally thought it was too much and the scene wasn’t needed but way Eggsy aftermath of what he has to do shows the maturity of his character and his development that was nicely done.
The joke with the president of the United States was clearly based on Trump lol, there was a twist at the end with a character which came across a bit pointless and added nothing as for villain she’s ok nothing great or memorable but serves her purpose. The film is funny just not as funny as the first one, the final fight and ending were good tho, the film was a little too long.
If you liked the first and want a more cartoony more bang for buck then you’ll enjoy it.

8/10.
