What you talking about? The most I've seen on them shows, at the most, is a bit of bush

People seriously need to stop blaming ofcom, 60 breaches is taking this piss, big style

You just haven't seen the ones I have.

You're right about it being Bang Media's fault, and they are the ones to blame for this, but none of this would happen if we didn't have Offcom's silly censorship.

Imagine if Offcom allowed boxing or martial arts or UFC, but told them to be careful on the violence, and fined them every time a bit of blood was dropped. That would make no sense at all! With that said, those shows ARE allowed, yet the adult channels still get the shaft Shy

Sexual stimulation is..... NORMAL and human, and NOT worse than enjoying watching two people smash each other's faces in.

Please stop bringing up boxing and MMA, it's a ridiculous comparison. Again, that is a sport, it is not just violence for violence's sake. It's not like they're showing street fighting or something.

Something I've never understood, and perhaps someone more clued up on the rules than myself can enlighten me, but why aren't all the channels encrypted? Surely you can have all the babe shows password protected but still free? Surely this added roadblock between some poor, innocent person stumbling across this filth while flicking through the 900 channels would be enough to keep Ofcom at bay?

True, but I've heard that encryption is quite expensive to acquire. Also, encryption would probably give Offcom less power over the channels, as they'd have nothing to fine them over, as full nudity would now be allowed. They would have to come up with new ways of making money from the channels, and I doubt they want that. I don't know if Offcom has any say in whether a channel wants to go encrytped though.

RE: RIP Bang Babes
Reading through the pdf just makes u realise what a bunch of total idiots bangmedia are. What are they going to do now? Run for the hills?

"Should the Licensees continue to provide a relevant regulated television service they will be guilty of a criminal offence under section 13(1) of the 1990 Act."

Why on earth are they still broadcasting?

http://stakeholders.ofcom.org.uk/enforce...mber-2010/

Seems a lot of the breaches are from Early bird. These breaches come AFTER the licensees have been warned about a possible license revokation.

Morons simple as.

RE: RIP Bang Babes
This is ridiculous, who the fuck are they to decide what is 'fit and proper', non of us need 'protecting' from 'unfit' material by some suit with a stick up their arse. Anything can be banned these days with the pretense of 'pretecting children', I suppose if some kid stayed up until 2am, went to the 900 channels and saw a vagina it would jump out of the TV and decapitate them or something

There must be some way of complaining to the government about ofcom's lack of accountability, how they make up subjective and random criteria to suit their censorship agenda and seem unable to accuratly answer questions about their actions

yes, as crap as these rules are. Ofcom have the power to revoke your license. So you have to abide by them, not ignore them like bangmedia did Smile

RE: RIP Bang Babes
I cannot believe there are still people blaming Ofcom. Huh

All of us I'm sure would like to see naked women on the telly all the time, but the fact is that when rules are broken there are consequences. Bang Media knew about these consequences and they still went ahead and continued defying rules despite several warnings and opportunities to reform.

Bang Media are the engineers of their own misfortune. Yes, ok, a lot of us dont like rules, but its not like Ofcom didnt give them enough chances.

It should say something when the other channels have taken steps to avoid collapse, and yet the idiots in charge at Bangbabes have continued defying until Ofcom had no choice but to act. They knew this would happen if they continued, and yet they still chose to continue defying.

The Pad and Early Bird as far as I know should remain, as I don't think they're governed by Bang Media...?
