Fight of the decade?
As many forum members know, the owners of the TVX babe channels also own Primetime TV. It may interest members to know that Primetime has obtained the rights to broadcast “King” Arthur Abraham vs. Carl “The Cobra” Froch for the WBC Super Middleweight title today, Saturday 27 November 19:30. The fight will be shown on Sky channel 480 and will also be broadcast online. The bill includes the WBA Super Middleweight title fight Ward-Bika.

Kallie Sauerland, Abraham’s promoter, says that the two fighters “are two of the biggest warriors in boxing today.” Froch’s promoter, Mick Hennessey, said that the fight held in Helsinki, Finland, “could be a fight of the decade candidate."

Froch says he will bring his WBC super middleweight title back to England and that he has a “massive, massive chance” to win the Super Six tournament.

Both fighters indicated that they are prepared for battle. “My training is going good,” Abraham said. “I am very ready for the fight. I aim to take the fight to him from the very first bell.”

For his part, Froch appeared quite confident and expounded on his advantages over Abraham. “The obvious one is the height and reach advantages I have, though Arthur does has deceptively long arms,” he said. “Another advantage is that I’ve been a super middleweight my whole career, while Arthur Abraham is a middleweight coming up to super middleweight. He is only 1-1 as a super middleweight. He may have stopped Jermain Taylor but he was completely outclassed by Andre Dirrell.”

Abraham wanted no part of this verbal gamesmanship. He simply said he would show his advantages in the ring on November 27th.

The Abraham-Froch fight follows the WBA super middleweight title fight, in which Andre “S.O.G.” Ward and world contender Sakio “The Scorpion” Bika meet. Ward may hold the title and defended successfully recently but is likely to have his hands full against Bika.

I'm really looking forward to this. I am a Carl Froch fan and hope that he can regain the title. One of the best middleweight fighters around at the moment for me. Smile

I'm hoping this boxing bout will make up at least some of the damage done to boxing's reputation with the Haye-Harrison fiasco.annoyed

I thought Froch would be the favourite but he's 6-5 with Abraham at 4-6. (Regenerated or other knowledgeable person please explain). You can get 7-1 against Bika in the other fight.

Froch seems to think he should be the favourite anyway.
