I've been trying to avoid the press coverage (especially the rampant as always red tops) to stop it winding me up but I'll throw my 2 pence in the hat...

I remember watching some interview during the SA World F'cup where a FIFA official said they were happy for SA as they wanted to expand football as a brand and market across Africa as a whole, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Six months down the line and look what happens, I'm not surprised one bit, it's just another nail in footballs coffin for me.

Did anyone expect any other nations to win? A country run by corruption and where no one seems to know where organized crime ends and the government begins and another so rich in oil that they can literally set burn money to keep them warm at night. You'd need to be the best actor in the world to tell me back handers weren't involved in this choice whilst keeping a straight face. FIFA are so up themselves that they didn't even try and con anyone, the evidence is all in plain sight!

FIFA can stick their WC up their Gary Glitters, I'm not buying this guff any more. It's the mugs who'll pay hand over fist to fly out there with yet more sepia tinged, blind optimism that I feel the sorriest for.

Bloody hell, I'm pissed off now, lol. I'll get off my soap box and not bother you nice people again on the subject, lol!

Its no surprises really as i expected Russia for 2018 and Qatar for 2022 as these countries have never had a world cup before so money talks im afraid.
