Do people honestly think Emily is unaware of her issues? She knows them, she deals with them - but they're not just 'decide to deal with them and they're gone issues', so how about cutting her a little slack?

Because these are discussion threads not lets fawn and praise threads. She has put herself in the public eye on tv, people will talk about her positive attributes, likewise the negative. As long as it's not abusive then the rough must come with the smooth, there's more smooth on these threads any way.


Give you an example of how petty and annoying it can be if mods only allowed positive. I mentioned on Alison McKenzie thread, that I actually now thought she was better looking than her sister. That's all, just an opinion, nothing abusive. I don't think it lasted 10 mins before being removed. Obviously some mod thought it would offend the delicate sensitivity of Lindsey. Of course, it gave no thought to Alison who has had to live under the shadow of her sister for all of her life.

In short, it's a very very poor thing if people can only say what they are allowed to say. That's taking freedom of speech and thought away. a dictatorship and I'm pretty sure that's not the aim of this site.

I have no interest in the forum becoming a fawning site - I have actively campaigned against such a thing happening on here on numerous occasions - and have never expressed a want for it to become one. If people want to say they dislike emily or she's crap (or indeed any of the girls) then I don't care, it's an opinion and one everyone is entitled to. My problem comes when it is a) something that is deeply personal and causes her distress enough as it is and b) repeated ad nauseum (often by the same people) just to keep making the same point.

I also have an issue with consistency. The same sort of things have been said about other girls, and yet the posts got removed. Why is it ok for the posts to remain in the Emily thread? If they remained elsewhere I wouldn't have an issue as it would at least be a consistent standpoint
