Xtreme: The season in review
Since extreme started last April I figure we've had more or less a football season's worth of shows so time for a season review.

The opening day defeat was not a good sign and early form suggested relegation was very much on the cards. The players often appeared unimaginative and there was a definite lack of end product. An over reliance on foreign imports, particularly lackluster soft Americans, looked like it might prove costly. However the introduction of live midnight games on Fridays and Saturdays seemed to spark life into the team and saw a surge in attendances and plaudits from commentators. A couple of good cup runs were helped by the mid-season form of Camilla, lolly, Michelle, ree and the transfer window signing of reede. Ultimately these proved fruitless owing to some poor refereeing decisions by Mr Ofcom, who is known to adhere to the letter of the law and who's impartiality has been questioned by many fans over the years. A season which promised at least a European place has drifted into lower mid-table respectability. New players and new management may be needed to save the team from relegation to the Sexcetra second division.
