HELP! How do I upload an attachment?

Can you attach a file to a composed message that isn't an image, say a WORD file. I have looked and I cannot see how you can do this? Is it possible OR do I need to use a third party host like jumpshare, dfiles or mediafire etc mostly they are for videos but you can upload other files. Thanks.

You should be able to attach a .doc file. It's an allowed attachment type.

Oh good but where to do you attach it, it only mentions images-can you tell me where on the page that is please.

Ah well I am not sure if I made myself clear but I meant about attaching a file to a private message such as a WORD file. I've looked on that and I can't find a facility to do it. I am guessing for some reason you can't do it. Thanks anyway.
