I sense you're not interested Sad

Shame, it's great fun watching players you've never heard of before, in some cases complete part-timers who've been summoned to make up the numbers at the last minute.

The crowd are a rabble, as in previous years, amusing themselves.

I am surprised to see Rod Lawlor make the last 32, he must be the slowest player on the tour, even coastal errosion moves faster than him.

Rod Lawler is the sort of utter underdog who makes this tournament so special. Not least because the commentary team clearly wish he'd lose Tongue

I was sad to hear during that match that the unforgettable Dechawat Poomjaeng is "no longer on the tour". He made Mark Selby seem like Stephen Hendry for humour Big Grin

I thought the latter stages were quite excellent (although as I sat through them, I would say that).

Michael Georgiou's dramatic victory over Graeme Dott made a great end to the tournament, and I gather he'll be in the World Grand Prix next week as a consequence. Time will have to tell whether the hype about his success being the gateway to greater success turns out to be true or not.

Watching on Quest yesterday afternoon, I was wondering why Neal Foulds kept talking about Bulgaria, then I cottoned on it was 'baulk area'.

Good to see old stagers like Alan McManus and particularly Barry Pinches making it through to tomorrow Smile
