What do you guys think of the recent changes to acommodate the switch hit? do you think the batsman should warn the bowler beforehand that he is changing stance to play the shot?

The ICC has just declared the switch-hit a legitimate shot.

I believe that if the batsman moves around in the crease the bowler should be allowed to ball down the legside.

If a batsman is skillful enough to play a switch-hit,then let them get on with it.It can't be that easy to play & surely put them at a greater risk of being dismissed.

The problem comes with defining what constitutes a switch-hit.Is it the position of the feet or changing from a right to left-handed grip.If you'd never watched Shiv Chanderpaul you could argue that with his feet pointing down the wicket in a chest-on stance,he's neither left or right-handed.With a subtle grip change he could be either or.

No...

Dilshan should have been warned by umpires for time wasting not Pietersen

The umpires called incorrectly.They can only warn you for time wasting if you change frnm a right to left (or visa versa) before the bowler enters his delivery stride.This is impossible to see without a replay/3rd umpire as the onfield umpires can't look at the bowler & batsmen at the same time.In slow-mo KP didn't move early,but with a spin bowler they can still stop,thus they are time wasting.

If you switch-hit against a fast bowler it was been less likely that the bowler could stop,but let them get on with it as it's even harder to play against a paceman.It's been suggested that bowler should be allowed to change from bowling left or right as a means of counteraction.The laws state that a bowler must declare what he's going to bowl ie. left/right over/round the wicket before he bowls.

Batsmen don't have to say if they're going to play a shot left or right handed.KP was more than likely taking the pissed when he said that bowler should be able to swap.The simple fact is this is all too difficult to police so they either ban it or leave it alone.I believe the time wasting call is just a directive & not a law,it's unworkable & should be scrapped.

If the batsman changes hands in time for the bowler to see it and stop then it constitutes time wasting, because the bowler will stop, so surely KP was correctly warned. If it were otherwise no further cricket would be played due to the existing stalemate.

^ That is what happened on the field,but replays showed KP did not switch early.Impossible to look down at a line & up at a batsmen 22 yards away at the same time & make the right call.Umpires miss no balls when they have less than half a second from when the foot lands to look down the other end where the real actions taking place.
