If you thought he was good (which he was) I'd suggest you don't miss the chinese bloke, Lang Lang, because he is something else.

RE: The Proms
Hehe you said pianist...damn, I've lowered the tone yet again ...this is why i wasn't invited to the Royal Wedding.

On a more sophisticated note,it is nice to see the Proms being discussed,I've been a musician for 16 years and i am completely awe struck by the talent of the people mentioned earlier, they truly are gifted...where as it took me 6 months to learn Smoke on the water..

And now he's home... and we're laughing...like we always did...

RE: The Proms
The Proms is a truly fantastic musical event but sadly one that is often over looked on the musical calender. I have often spoke of the lack of heart, soul and talent in popular music culture today... The talentless fucks should look no further then the Proms for absolute class and talent. A joy to watch Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

RE: The Proms
Some years ago, an old school-friend whose Dad was some legal bigwig rang me up to say that he had a spare ticket for Last Night of the Proms, and if I could get up to London I could have it for free.

It was the most astonishing experience, and even though I'm the least jingoistic person you'll ever meet, I found myself in a sea of hooray-henries and belting out "Land of Hope and Glory" at the top of my voice.
