RE: Firefox F**KED ?
Be very careful guys- this looks like stuff may be trying to get thru on Firefox.

Ive never had that message on it but looking at that message I was downloading from limewire today and got the exact same message word for word apart from the firefox(replace with limewire)

It asks if I want to send my details- I obviously didnt

A little late to the party but yes I've seen that shot before, frequently. It's just a crash report and it is asking if it can send the technical details so they know about your problem to see if they need to work on any fixes in future revisions, you won't get a reply. It most definitely isn't something trying to "get through on Firefox" (Limewire is another kettle of fish however, I won't let that piece of malware infested crap anywhere near any of my machines)

I still get it occasionally due to the collection of add-ons I run (That and I'm normally running at least a dozen or so tabs at once). When you relaunch Firefox it'll normally say it crashed and do you want to restore the previous session. If you do it'll load the same web pages.

First attempt then would be to say no in case something one of the sites is loading is causing the crash on launch.

Next step would be to run Firefox in safe mode. If you look for the Firefox group on your start menu you'll find a separate launch option there. If that works it is then a case of finding out exactly which add-on(s) is causing the problem, it'll probably be an extension rather than plugin, by either disabling or uninstalling them.

Have fun I've just counted mine and at the moment I have 31 active extensions and 20 plugins and personally I don't think I have anywhere near as many as some Firefox fans!

As for Spybot S&D. Well I'd recommend installing it anyway, but why does everyone blame viruses, malware and hacking without checking the more mundane first?

I don't even know who I am so you'll forgive me if I ask 'Who the f**k do you think you are?!'

Aha ahahahahahaha
So go from a browser issue to installing an OS?! Informed choice there based totally on client needs Rolleyes

Linux isn't ready for the average desktop yet. Think alone of the costs in learning the OS and time spent trawling everywhere for an answer when something goes wrong

If you're tech savvy and the applications are there then sure, Linux is an alternate choice. Me? Well as stated elsewhere I'm an Adobe fan so until someone can compete with their professional design apps then Windows or OSX are the only viable options. Sorry Linux fans stick to the server and niche areas where you belong at present without mature desktop application support Big Grin

also you may want to check the admin event logs, the crash should also show up there under aplications it may point exactly to which browser extension if any has crashed.
