Highs And Lows Of 2011 And Hopes For 2012

As we approach the end of 2011, I'd like to reflect on what the high points and low points of 2011 were and what I'd like to see in 2012, firstly I'll reflect on the low points of 2011, at the turn of the year we saw our first devastating crash with Ofcom revoking the licence of Bangbabes TV which was a very sad day indeed as this channel along with Babestation had long been a permanent fixture and had a long history and run in the world of the Babe Channels and was probably the 2nd longest running show in it's history, next we had Babeworld TV going bust, partly their own fault as there shows were very poor and then we had the closure of all the Sportxxx channels. Now on to the high's of 2011, with the demise of Bangbabes we saw the emergence of Red Light Central which previously only catered for the over 40's but had now rebranded itself as it decided to ditch it's mature lady's audience and going for a lot of the younger models such as Danni Harwood and Lucy Summers and ofcourse the latest signing being Bailey Cream with some very memorable show's this year, Elite too has had it's high moments bringing in guest porn stars from the USA to add a bit of glamour and prestige to the channel, all in all I think it's been a very mixed bag this year with many highs and lows. Onto to 2012 my hopes are that Ofcom are dismantled, the channels are given a lot more freedom and that wee see more highs and positives to come out of next year as I really don't want to see anymore casualties next year but instead a marked improvement without anymore hassle or hinderance coming from Ofcom. While i admire your optimism,i think you know that the demise of Ofcom is very unlikely,unlike you i did not think the Porn Stars added anything to Elite,i too would love to have Bangbabes back but that wont happen either,you will just have to resign yourself to the fact the channels as they are,are here to stay (maybe)

just want to correct you a bit scottishbloke, bangbabes didnt go this year, they went about this time last year, also babeworld didnt go bust it was taken over by another channel as im pretty sure sportxxx was. for me the high's have been rlc who have really improved this year, but most of all elite, they have made some very good additions this year, i have especially liked the unknown babes theyve had, especially moness and jessy jensen. most of all elite tv saw the nightshow debut of kelly bell (which i had look forward to ever since i became a fan of kelly 8 years ago) and just over a week ago they brought the stunning victoria roberts out of the babeshow wilderness and she has been great on elite so far. i too have liked the guest us porn star appearances. the lows have been emily dean retiring and the ridiculous rules ofcom now have for the shows

as for 2012, hopefully the channels can get back to how they were, but think like bombshell theyll stay as they are

Rammy read my post again, I never once said that Bangbabes went bust, read it again before you declare that I wrong, Bangbabes had their licence revoked in January and that's what I said in my opening post, Babeworld TV going bust, yes they did, they were taken over because their own poor shows weren't providing any income, so that is debatable as Babeworld TV in 2011 was lousy

Fine post and all but can I suggest paragraphs?

The lows are obvious this year. The lack of Bang Babes and the demise of a couple of other channels, most recently ChatGirlTV, has definitely been a loss. Bang Babes was easily the best channel in terms of roster, quality and pushing the boundaries so missing them as a channel was a big loss but also the impact their downfall had on the channels in general. Everyone has had to play it a lot safer and that's obviously bad news for the viewers and callers.

There are positives though. RLC has improved a lot in the past few months and has some girls who have really stepped up their game lately. Jennifer Jade is easily newcomer of the year, she has been absolutely fantastic in her nightshow performances. I also think Levi has really turned it on over the past couple of months, she's been looking amazing and her performances have been fantastic.

There's also been Kelly Bell's nightshows. As a massive Kelly Bell fan, finally seeing her on nights was amazing for me and she gave some of the best performances of the year. It was great to finally chat to her on a nightshow and hear her talking all out filth, not restrained by daytime rules.

Bangbabes disappeared off the EPG in the last week of November 2010, although the channels could still be manually tuned. They limped on in different guises until the first week of January 2011 - IIRC they pulled the plug at 6.00 on the Friday evening.

Highs:

Lori on Elite
Rachel doing Elite nights
Bailey on Sport
POV action
Georgie going nude regularly
Some nice and inventive set design from everyone, especially Babestation from Spring through the summer!


Lows:

No proper 2-4-1s
Vaginas are still the equivalent of Satan
The non adult channels can show more
Censorship at its all high


Looking forward to another tame and nervous year of Ofcom having a stranglehold over these channels.

As has been said, it has been an odd year for babeshows.

Lows:
- The obvious low is the demise of BangBabes, who were easily one of the best for talent and performances, their loss has certainly left a huge hole on the channels. However, its the reasons behind their demise, and the consequences of it that have been the biggest loss in babeshow history: the stingent rules that have been enforced have really ruined what the babeshows were all about - in particular, no physical contact in 241s! What's the point? Even the babes themselves hate it! The other day, Daryl was told off for saying that her neck was stiff from a bad night of sleeping - ridiculous!

- The amount of advertising on Babestation has gone out of control. Far too much importance has been placed on selling pictures, videos and the Extreme channel, at the expense of showing off the talent they have. In addition, the OSGs are getting more inventive in ways to show less of the babes, and this is becoming a running joke that we all know too well. I wonder what it would take for BS to realise that they are alienating so many of the viewers.

- The retirement of Emily Dean and Karina have also been a loss to the channels, as well as great talent defecting.

- The laziness of Ashley Emma. For someone so beautiful, she could be one of the best and most popular, if she actually moved around at all, but being in the clique, she knows she doesn't have to. Add to that, Mica's constant frown, she should at least fake smile and pretend to enjoy her job!

Highs:
- The clear high for me has been the emergence of RLC from the ashes of BangBabes. I'm not saying I'm a huge fan, but the fact they have 4 channels, and some great talent to watch, is a good thing!

- The return of Hazel Bond was awesome, she is looking hot as ever!

- The use of porn stars has only been great for me as I am a big Alexis Texas and Tori Black fan, so being able to talk to them was pretty novel, add that to the fact that they perform well and enjoy it makes it better viewing for us all!

- Adele, Lori, Victoria Roberts and to a lesser extent Delta, moving to Elite. They are on the best channel, and will be able to showcase their talents more.

- Jennifer Jade, Brook Little, Vanessa Walker, Moness and Jessica Jensen...some fresh faces, always nice to see!

So overall, its been an interesting year, but that's typical of the babeshows! I just sincerely hope that over the next year the strict reigns of Ofcom are loosened a bit, so that the babeshows could at least go back to how they were last year!
