Is it now time for tighter moderation of forum ?

With regret i start this thread, as things are deteriorating around here yet again, I'm against militancy but now believe stronger moderation of this forum has to start and the sooner the better!
Outbreaks of spamming,trolling and flaming this past week have been very evident and not nice to see.

Like to make it very clear this is no disrespect to admin and smc, but feel the need for tweaking things a touch!

I know i have had a considerable part in some of it, but i agree with you Shiny. for what its worth, i apologise for getting wound up and carrying on, but i'm refraining from it from now on.

Unfortunately I don't think it is something new as I've stated at various times before.

Heated debate is all very nice, and a positive aspect of the forum, but some people don't seem to know the difference between that and just throwing out insults or posting completely off topic.

Personally, whilst I won't be leaving the forum I am looking at taking a back seat view and just silently stalking and limiting myself to less frequent posting

It's actually threads like this one that have stopped me coming here as often as I used to. It seems that everytime I log on someone is moaning about something or complaining about something else.

As I have said before on a few similar threads (though not always as politely), if you don't like it you know where the door is.
