Who's better, Messi or Ronaldo ??

Messi's never played in the Premier League, therefore there is absolutely no way in the world he can be better than Ronaldo So in answer to dan g's question, it was probably Andy Gray who voted for him.

I think there may be a few more attributes to Ronaldos game other than just speed that he's better than Messi at but I wouldn't expect you to praise an ex man utd player would I ? I'd still go for Messi obviously but Messi as had the pleasure of two of the best centre midfielders (xavi/iniesta) in the world for the past 4 or 5 years to play with so I'm sure having that continuity around him since the beginning of his career helps surely ?

I bet the Match of the Day pundits think Rooney is the greatest player in the world

Ronaldo, if he had the players Messi plays with in cheatalona then he would be even better, xavi and iniesta could make heskey score never mind messi!

Yes it is, it's very close. Ronaldo is a better header of the ball and takes better free kicks, but overall Messi edges it in my opinion.

question is if they swopped places would messi be as good as he is without xabi and inneista. that said of the 2 then would be Messi as Ronaldo has always gone AWOL on the big occasions pus i cant stand him !!!

Messi is better in my opinion, much more of a team player , his stats for assists are way better than ronaldos, he scores more goals than ronaldo, he consistently performs better in the games between real madrid and barca a lot of the times ronaldo goes missing in these games. I think even ronaldo knows himself at this stage what the situation is (well i think i know), he seems to be playin second fiddle since that 2009 final between united and barca messi showed up big time ronaldo didnt. 3 world players of the yr to 1 as well.

George Best was better than both of them, but that's a different debate, having said that Ronaldo and Messi are probably neck and neck when it comes to diving!
