Animal Facts

I don't know about anyone else, but I am amazed by animals. Very clever creatures, some of which have survived millions of years on this planet and are still going strong now.
I just thought this would be a good place to give props to the animals of the earth and share some interesting facts about them. I'll get the ball rolling...

The beaver uses its tail like the rudder on a ship. They use their tails to propel themselves through the water and also to steer themselves in various directions.

A slug has four noses

A cockroach can survive for 7 days without its head. The only reason it dies is because it is unable to take on water or food.

A crocodile can never stick its tongue out of its mouth.

An ostrich's brain is smaller than its eye

Ants don't sleep.

Dogs and cats are either right or left-pawed!

A turtle can breathe through its arse!!

An angry horned-toad squirts blood from its eyes

Sharks are immune to cancer
