Elite TV is changing........

I think the problem with the US guest stars and Elite is that the pornstars are no longer a luxury or a special treat if that makes sense...?

I think if you look back to when Alexis Texas first came to Elite, and the amount of excitement on the forum I feel like it was because it hadn't been done before (In that somebody from America was coming on the shows) and that she was a big pornstar. Nowadays the US stars are such a regular and common sight, I feel like it takes away from them a bit because it happens so regularly.

Re-branding isn't a decision companies take lightly - brand awareness is key to any organisation wishing to make money and maintain a customer base. So Elite => Studio 66 is something they'll likely have taken time deciding upon and considered a great deal.
As some here point out, what's in a name. Well to Jamie's point in the OP, it's about providing them a solid foundation upon which to grow their business which may be not just UK bound.

Loosing the odd talent here and there is expected in any company - I'm sure where we work ourselves we've all seen more than our fair share of people come and go. True you like to retain key people, but you can't force these sorts of things.

So let's give them time to adjust, tweak things as they need to support the new brand, and let's just enjoy watching the beautiful women on the shows. If that happens to be a good mixture of UK and US based babes then I'm a happy camper. Hey, perhaps they could get a few of those awesome ex-Russian state babes to pop over as well

The brand is in full swing as today's video update with Dionne Daniels has new intro/outro video featuring Studio 66. And a great video it is too of Dionne's "Tits and Arse!" as they so politely titled the video !

Appropriately terrible choice of name.

so are studio 66 obsessed with us guest stars. i dont think so and dont think elite are going towards using more porn stars or girls that show everything as only katie k has done porn from the recent additions and only sasha and jessy jensen have done webshows. also how do you know charlie was one of elite's top babes

I like the US girls and I think that they help differentiate Studio66 from the other companies but I think it is impossible to deny that bringing in US girls is expensive. All companies have a wage budget and it is not unreasonable to assume that a large percentage of the Studio66 budget is used for the American girls which means less for everyone else. Most of the new girls are quite inexperienced so it is likely that Studio66 can get away with paying them less than established girls (much like Babestation do with the Apprentice girls) which then forces the established girls to see if they can get a better deal elsewhere.

I am not a fan of the new name but it will probably grow on me. They have tried to go with something that sounds cool and edgy but it comes across as a bit pretentious and gives the viewer who has never heard of them no idea what the company is about.

I do hope this new webcam shows will see girls appear such as ashley emma and dionne daniels on web cam, that would be a great new service

I think it all depends on the location, I honestly can't see dionne doing a show from home

not necessarily forces the established babes to go elsewhere, could be other reasons why babes have left. yes bringing in the us stars will be expensive but elite clearly are making the money to do it, otherwise they wouldnt do it.

will be interesting to see how the revamp pans out

victoria, gracie, mica, emma spellar, rachel louise and charlie were getting sidelined and so chose to go elsewhere.
the reason for the lack of shifts? i wonder

i'm also not so sure these american pornstars are as expensive as everyone thinks.
i'm sure jamie has a good deal with the agency he books them from

Their flights and accomodation are likely to cost between 1 and 2 grand before you even consider their wages.
