help me please on looping clips

is there a way of getting one part of a clip to keep playing with vlc or media player or do hav to download something

Not sure about looping part of a clip in VLC. I think you'd need to extract that part and save it as a seperate clip. You can do this in VLC but its not very good. Mpeg Streamclip is a great free video editor and allows you to do this easily.

Then to loop a clip in VLC, goto the Playlist menu (under the Window menu). This'll bring up the playlists in your controller - the repeat loop function is in the bottom left of this playlist box:
