They said that a few seasons ago and look what happened, we got relegated.

Also I don't believe we are too good to go down because if we are too good then we wouldn't be fighting a relegation battle this season.

I heard someone mentioning crouch as a possible Newcastle striker, that would be a bad move as they need a striker with mobility and a good work rate, crouch would just be standing there waiting for a header without doing anything else. Remy is the best bet but Ashley ain't gonna part with 15 mill

Newcastle have been unlucky this season with injuries. Getting the squad fit again should see the turn in results needed to pull them away from the drop zone. Once away from that maybe they should look to start bleeding through some youth players instead of turning to the transfer market.

We've been unlucky with injuries yes, but the thing is when we had players like Krul and Cabaye fit, we weren't firing on all cylinders and just scrapping by games.

We shouldn't of gotten in this tricky situation in the first place if we strengthened in the summer and we are clearly paying for it.

On the subject of Andy Carroll, although it was probably just a bit of a joke with that post. I'm 50/50 with that one and to be honest if we are just playing one striker up front then I would stick with Cisse instead.

I haven't heard anything about Remy costing 15 million, as the most common number I hear is around 11 million.

RE: January Transfer Window 2013
We will be fine we have like 8 players out that's our only problem really and the obvious in losing Demba as he was a quality player a goal scorer so we need some one to fill Demba boots... Which im more than sure Cisse will start banging them in again and probably will gain some confidence again knowin he is going to be our main man... Its obvious we need a couple of players in but tbh i would rather have our players out Injured back fit first tbh and if we can get a decent striker in we will be canny...

Danny Simpson
Vurnon Anita ( not serious but has a knock so is a doubt )
Hatem Ben Arfa
Dan Gosling ( not mush use but he is still out none the less )
Ryan Taylor ( be very shocked if he makes any game time this season shame )
Jonas Gutierrez
Steven Taylor ( just on his way back )
Haris Vuckicc
Yohan Cabaye ( just on his way back been big blow )

And also Cheick on the fuckin daft African cup shit.... So thats the problem we have...

For me i think Crouch would be a decent punt but every one will think different... There are teams who are in a far worse postion than our selves tbh the likes of villa

Tottenham are in talks with Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo.

According to Valenciennes president Jean Raymond Legrand, Newcastle have made a bid for left back Gaetan Bong.

Galatasaray have had a bid accepted by Inter Milan for midfielder Wesley Sneijder.

Man United are closing in a 12 million deal for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.

Sunderland completed their first signing of the January transfer window with the signing of Alfred N'Diaye from Bursaspor for 3 million.

Portsmouth have signed a former striker of ours, James Keene, who had been playing in Sweden. He's joined on a 1 month deal (yes I meant 1 month, that's the longest contract we give anyone these days).

Why is the Africa Cup of Nations "fucking daft shit"? It's their equivalent of the European Championships, so that's a pretty ignorant view of it. Managers know when they're signing African players that they're probably going to be unavailable during that period, so they've got nothing to moan about. We're going to be missing Kagisho Dikgacoi (KG for short) as he's with the hosts South Africa, but we just replace him and get on with things.
As for the tournament itself, I wonder if the British media are going to give the trophy to Ivory Coast before a ball is kicked again? Huh
