I downloaded this on a torrent ages ago, been having a quick preview, he gets a whole heap worse! And you have the very special sight of rick the dick being all macho and then shitting himself - I shall say no more!!

So who's worse, Rick the prick or dickhead Dave?

I'd say Rick is the worse driver (anyone that makes Hugh look good has to be bad), but Dave has a worse attitude, he thinks he knows it all already, and won't heed the advice people are trying to give him.


I liked the continuing saga of Rick and Hugh and 'the other guy' and the over-sized convoy this week. With Rick having problems on a corner last week, they made it across a frozen stretch even though they were over weight this week, and finally get to the town. All they got to do is drive across town to drop the loads off without doing anything silly like hitting an overhead cable ... oh dear, guess what happened!!

Dichead dave, rick is good to laugh at and he does have a friend. D Dave is hated by everyone and sent to coventry, but his attitude brings it all on himself, I know how he feels.

I think maybe they're editing Dave to make him look a bigger prat than he really is. I mean would they really send him out solo on the basis of what we've seen? That said, he is making it easy for them

Crossing the frozen lake must've actually been quite a big deal going by the serious expression on Hugh's face. It's about the first time I've seen him without that stupid grin he always has.

Thought Lisa done good after a slightly shaky start. Must have taken alot of nerve to let the truck self-steer in the white-out.

it's true, Carlyle DON'T want him there....... but the camera crew do... he's absolute gold for the show.... and why we all watch shows that normally would be quite mind numbingly boring otherwise.... Would any of you guys watch if it wasn't for Lisa, or the male idiots like rik, doughnut dave, or hugh cocking up every trip....??

And that's why the likes of Jack Jesse aren't in this series, because he just gets on with it and does the job, where's the entertainment in that!
I think Alex only appears because he's something of a celebrity over there, and there's always the 'will he won't he drop dead any minute' factor, but otherwise he's a plodder, get's a bit of screen time just to remind you how much of a numpty the other guys are.

They hit comedy gold when they found Dave though. I wonder if it was them that found him and encouraged him to head up to the ice-roads : "why not come up and show these others how it's done Dave, it'll be a piece of cake with your experience", whilst packing some extra film for the cameras, knowing exactly how this is going to turn out

Dave first appeared in the Himalayan series when he replaced Alex (can't remember why) then he was in the Andes series.

The truckers were paired up in the Andes - it was Hugh & Rick, Dave & Lisa and two rookies called Tim & Tino (they were the comedy turn )

Dave and Rick bottled it completely after the first run on the Death Road and went home, claiming "we didn't come here to die", or something like that
