Southampton hope to sign Jordie Clasie as a replacement for United bound Morgan Schneiderlin who is having a medical. At long last we will have a quality midfield once again who can ease the pressure off the defence. This season looks to be an exciting one with all the big teams investing well to compete with Chelsea.

Just broke on sky sports news that Man Utd expect to complete the signings of Bastian Schweinstiger & Morgan Schniderlin in the next couple of hours and both will be on man utd's pre-season tour

Am interested to know what you think there starting 11 will be and what formation they'll using this season .

Thanks for verifying what I already posted. It's obviously official now. They are flying out today for the US tour with the rest of the squad. First game is on Friday.
As for Ramos,that was never going to happen, besides I'd rather have Otamendi who is as good a tackler, less likely pick up red cards, will score more goals and is several years younger.

Anyone remember when the back pages of the 'foreign'press used to be the bastion of ridiculous rumour-mongering. No more, these days our press rules supreme in that area. As if we were ever going to get Ramos. As if Bayern would consider selling Thomas Muller or that Barca would sell Neymar. They still persist in suggesting we are trying to get Bale from Real. Now we are apparently after the gifted Felipe Anderson from Lazio, while still pursuing Harry Kane and Benzema. Until they have signed the dotted line and and are wearing our shirt I won't believe a word of it.

Great news tonight. We have apparently made a £140 million bid for Neymar. Not only that but also bids for De Bruyne and Ibrahamovic oh and back in for Muller. Can't wait to see that line up. The British press really are a rash on society. Laugh my arse off.
