Next Gen Consoles

The sheer horse power the PS4 is bringing to the table should in theory destroy the competition. I think the new Xbox will do amazingly well too. Nintendo's latest offering is gonna have one seriously short shelf life trying to compete against these two monsters.[/align]

Not sure its really to do with power of the consoles these days its all down to the software, you can make a console as powerful as you like but if there isn't any good solid games for the console then its not gonna do well take Aliens Colonial Marines should have been a great looking game but looks more like a PS2 and even on a PC, but then look at games like Uncharted, Halo, GTA V, The Last of Us etc etc. Look at the PS vita compared to the Nintendo 3DS its a much more powerful machine but yet the 3DS is out selling due to software which is a real shame as its good hand held.

i've heard that the ps4 is suppose to be 8 times more powerful than the ps3. that's pretty damn impressive but like kalel said it doesn't matter how powerful a console is unless it's got the software to back it up. a lot of people seem to think that when ps4 and the next xbox come out that they'll destroy the wii u but then again those people said the same thing would happen to the wii and look how that turned out.

The Wii had a great short lived gimmick and catered to a different audience, the Wii U doesn't have that and is less powerful than the current gen hardware.

The Wii U's 2nd screen is a good idea and hopefully one day a developer will put it to good use, and I'm guessing Sony has that covered with the PS Vita as that will no doubt work in the same way when the PS4 is finally released.

Talking of release dates, I'll eat my hat (and my PS3 lol) if the PS4 drops this year. I can see the new Xbox landing before Xmas but Sony always suffers from delays.

You guys seen this? It could be the first next gen game. It looks damn good but not a massive leap from the current gen games

From what i've read the PS4 is coming out this year probably round about November/December time same with the next Xbox they won't take the chance this time in waiting so long to release there next console as the old saying goes time is money lol whether we'll see both consoles in uk in 2013 is another story. As for Watch Dogs thats on PS3, 360, PC and now looking like the Wii U.

Fact is no matter how powerful and amazing a console is, it is only as good as the software running on it. A good game is a good game whether it be on a PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 or 720, Wii or whatever. One of my favourite games ever was the original Command and Conquer. Graphically quite a simplistic look, but so addictive. Shame the later sequels never converted well to the consoles.

I loved Command and Conquer, still have Command and Conquer Generals on my Mac and the add on pack, it looks boring to look at but when start playing it so much fun and no one game is the same either.
