I heard it is a great festival and should be a packed house with both sides going well.

Durham won the toss & recovered well after being 5-2 with Sidebottom gained lbw decisions against Jennings & Borthwick, removing both for ducks.
Centuries from Stoneman & Stokes helped them to 406-6 with Collingwood 74 not out.

On day 2 Durham took their score to 573 all out,the 5th highest at Scarborough, passing the 572-8 dec made by Yorkshire v Notts this year.
Collingwood made 81 & was dismissed by Sidebottom 4-85.Richardson was last man out scoring his maiden century.

Williamson 84 & Bairstow 82 put together a 4th wicket century stand, but the last 7 wicket fell for 63 runs & Durham enforced the follow-on after lunch on day 3.

Yorkshire were 299 behind,& soon lost Lyth, but Jaques 151 & Williamson 90 batted the day out, adding an unbroken 2nd wicket stand of 257.They trail Durham by 23 runs going into the final day.

Can't see Yorkshire setting Durham a target .Think they will try and bat through last day and get away with the draw .Which will mean Durham will only close the gap by 4points .Although you never know with Jason Gillespie . 200 off 30 overs ? Durham need the win more than Yorkshire and would certainly be up for any run chase .
Naah ,Yorkshire will bat out the draw ,unless there's a repeat collapse like their first innings .

Yes as you say Mick I can't really see Yorks. doing much more than batting out for a draw. Be interesting is they are bowled out by around tea time though.
Got to admire how well Yorks have done since dropping into to and winning Div. 2 last season, especially as they have lost quite a bit of talent to the England set up and indeed how well Durham have done since becoming the 18th county.

Yorkshire will need to bat into the last session, even at the present scoring rate,Durham will chase anything around 200 even at 10 runs an over.

RE: County Cricket 2013 Season
Day 4 began badly for Yorkshire with both overnight not out batsmen going early.None of the middle order could manage to play the big innings that would take them to safety & the were all out for 419 leaving Durham 121 to win in 37 overs which they achieved with 9.2 overs left in the day.

Durham are only 5.5 points behind leaders Yorkshire with a game in hand & must now be considered favourites far the title. However Sussex could yet play a big part as they travel to Durham next week, host Yorkshire the following week & Durham in their final match.Still a lot of points up for grabs & all to play for.

RE: County Cricket 2013 Season
Yet another feeble effort with the bat second time around .After Jaques and Williamson got Yorkshire out of the mire on Friday afternoon ,they all go and blow it big time again .Andrew Gale needs some serious runs in the remaining games ,because his contribution over the majority of the season as been woeful .He's made a big double century (at Scarborough) and thats about it really .How his team could have done with something similar this week !Phil Jaques finally makes a significant score at last ,but to no avail .It's time these two justified their "automatic" selections ,because the pair of them as front line batters this season as been consistently the weakest link .
Hopefully , now the chance of championship glory is now hanging by a thread ,they'll get their fingers out and make some telling contributions !
Boy !, am I annoyed with them !
