The way things are going England might get dumped out the competition by the rain unless it stops soon .

England beat New Zealand by 10 runs 7 are through to the Semi Finals.

Thank goodness the rain stopped.
The likelihood now is that England will face South Africa in the semi finals as winners of group A.
For Sri Lanka to win group A they need a very big win over Australia in their last group game to sufficiently improve their net run rate above England's.
This does have significant ramifications as if either semi is rained off with no result the group winners automatically progress to the final.

That call in Broad's favour on the no ball was maybe the closest call I've ever seen in cricket. You could even argue that the decision going England's way decided the match. If Broad's heel was behind the line it must have been only by a millimetre or two. I honestly don't think England could have complained if the decision had gone in New Zealand's favour, as the commentator's thought it should.

England had South Africa in deep trouble at 80-8.Miller & Kleinveldt put on 95 for the 9th wicket.Great opening burst from Anderson who finished with impressive figures of 8-1-14-2.Followed up by Tredwell 7-1-19-3.Broad 3-50 took the last 2 wickets.Butler had 6 catches

England beat South Africa by 7 wcketswith 12.3 overs remaining.Trott 82 not out off 84 balls.

Well done England,they were on top form in all departments today,looking forward to the final on Sunday.

If England can win this tournament it will be highly significant imo.
During the last four years they have won a 20-20 world cup, reached the top of the test rankings (although have now been overtaken by South Africa) and won the Ashes home and away. The one form of the game where they have not been as successful is the 50 over form.
Victory in the final would put that to rest.
No other country in world cricket could lay claim to such success in all 3 forms of the game in such a time span.
The opportunity is there, lets hope they grab it .
