Highlights from this week

Nautico 3-0 Internacional

Internacional failed to keep their seat at the top of Campeonato Brasileiro standings after they suffered a disappointing away defeat in the hands of Nautico this past weekend.

After a rather dull first 45 minutes which saw both teams failing to net any single goals, it was Nautico that got things going in the second period when Derley netting home on 73 minutes. The home side practically secured their win in the final few minutes as Maikon Leite scoring on 89 minutes, followed by a late strike from Rogerio soon afterwards.

Gremio 2-0 Fluminense

Fluminense continue to struggle in their current Campeonato Brasileiro campaign as they suffered a disappointing defeat against Gremio this past weekend.

Playing in front of their home crowd, Gremio were looking keen to put on an aggressive display since kick off, but it wasn't an easy task though as Fluminense gave such tight battle in the first 45 minutes, which ended in a 0-0 draw. The host improved their performance in the second half as Cristian Riveros puts them ahead on 53 minutes, before Kleber securing all three points with five minutes left in the clock

Sao Paulo 0-3 Cruzeiro

Cruzeiro were keen on maintaining their recent fine run in Campeonato Brasileiro as they challenge Sao Paulo this past weekend.

Both teams were looking really eager to snatch all three points, triggering such a tight battle in the first 45 minutes as they shared a goalless draw. After the break, it was all Cruzeiro though as they bagged three goals, courtesy of Luan's hat-trick which he netted on 51, 79 and 82 minutes.

Santos 2-2 Coritiba

Coritiba's attempt in extending their lead at the top of current Campeonato Brasileiro standings was halted when they only managed to snatch a point from their recent away fixture against Santos.

The home side got themselves ahead after 20 minutes of play through Neilton, but that lead was canceled out four minutes from half time break when Alex finished off Deivid's assist to make it 1-1 as they go into the break. In the second period, Santos went in front again as Cicero scored on 64 minutes, but Coritiba managed to equalized again with just two minutes left in the clock through another effort from Alex.

Flamengo 1-1 Botafogo

Botafogo's attempt to keep their lead at the top of Campeonato Brasileiro was halted as they only managed a point from their latest league fixture against Flamengo.

The away side put on an attacking effort since kick off as they managed to get themselves in front on 22 minutes through Rafael Marques' effort, finishing off an assist from Clarence Seedorf. Unfortunately, that lead didn't last until the final whistle as deep in stoppage time, Flamengo dramatically equalized through Elias.

Fernandez, who is Santos' star player now Neymar has gone? Is 'the next Neymar' on his way yet? Lol. You know that tag is coming for an emerging player, sometime soon. It's always the way.

RE: Campeonato Brasileiro Série A
There are a few players from our youth squad now who are breaking into first team such as Dimba. who also had loan to Botafogo. He is a Striker or can play as attacking midfield.

Aswell as Neymar leave for Barcelona we just recently sell one of our best young players Felipe Anderson to Lazio for 8m Euros, he is an attacking midfielder who came through our youth system, he has very good potential if he is continue to be develop well, he is similar to Oscar who play for Chelsea. Very good with set piece and free kicks, he is more of play maker than goal scorer.

Look out for him in future.

We also recently sell Ganso to São Paulo, he was potential to be next Kaka but he seems to have lost his way a little since his move as São Paulo are not do so well at this time.

Another player from Brasileiro to look out for in future is John Lennon who is 21 yer old right back for Botafogo, he signed for them from Vila Nova last year. He had short loan spell with Atlético Goianiense but he is now regular starter for Botafogo after they sell Marcio Azevedo to Metalist Kharkiv.

The player from Brasileiro who will be the next big Superstar in Europe is Bernard though he has everthing needed to be great. Very much like Coutinho who is also developing a lot at Liverpool under Brendan Rodgers.

Porto are favourites to sign him first from Europe, I think he will develop very well there as many players go there do. He will be a big part of our National team which is also starting to look very strong now.

There have be many talented players move to Europe from Brasil who go unnoticed though, here are some to look out for.

Marcio Azevedo move from Botafogo to Metalist Kharkiv he is left back and very very attacking player, he is like similar to Marcelo but has more trick.

Ilsinho who spend most time at Sao Paulo but move from Internacional to Shakhtar for second spell, he has made a few appearance for Brasil also. He is a very skillfull right back.

I remember Ganso being highly rated a while ago and linked with top European clubs, hopefully he can fulfill his potential. Why did you sell him to Sao Paulo, was he struggling?

John Lennon? Really?? He is Brazilian or not? Doesn't sound Brazilian. Lol.

Is Bernard not going to Shakhtar? They sign a lot of Brazilian players already don't they, Ilsinho(as you say), Adriano, Fernandinho, Douglas Costa, Taison, Willian, plus more probably i forgot.

RE: Campeonato Brasileiro Série A
Well the reason we sell Ganso was down to contract dispute, In 2011 Chelsea were trying to sign Neymar so we offer him a big contract to keep him at the club, then he was given another improved contract to keep him in Brasil until 2014. The club then offered Ganso a new contract aswell but he refused to sign because he was not get pay as much as Neymar.

The Club then offer him several more contracts but he turn them all down and his agent say he will never play for Santos again. He tried to get a move to Internacional but that fell through and then the fans all turn on him.

He then play one more game but picked up another injury during that game that was keep him out for 4-6 weeks. With his medical record, the injury wasn’t look too surprising, but the rules of Brazil’s internal transfer window gave it a bad look.

In the Brasil transfer window a player is only allowed to move between clubs in Brasil as long as he has played less than seven games in the season for current club. Ganso’s "injury" meant that he would be stuck on five appearances for at least a month. Just one more week and he would have reach the seven game mark, and the injury became an “injury” in the eyes of most people.

Then when Lucas Moura moved to PSG Sao Paulo had money to spend and eventually then made us an offer and we sell him to our main rival. He would have go to a big European team but he has bad injury record so I think that held him back also.

And as for John lennon yes he is from Brasil, his full name is John Lennon Silva Santos. Smile

And with Bernard I know that Porto are favourites to sign him as they have number of advantages with sponsors and ownerships such as BMG who sponsor Porto and own a percentage of Bernard. Also he has said he favours Porto. Here are a few links.

Just 4 days later.... Big Laugh

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/t...de-2120450

The new wonder-kid of Brazilian football wants to play in Europe – and that has alerted top sides in the Premier League. Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City are all aware of the talents of 17-year-old Victor Andrade who is already a first team regular at Santos. His contract runs out at the end of the season and he has made it clear that he will not sign a new deal. That makes him available at a bargain price of less than £2.5 million – the development fee Santos will receive. Andrade has been labelled the ‘New Neymar’ as he bids to follow in the footsteps of the Brazil star who has joined Barcelona for £57million....

The new Neymar is here already!! Lol. The press just cannot wait to put that 'new...' label on somebody can they.

What's he like Fernandez, Victor Andrade?

RE: Campeonato Brasileiro Série A
New Neymar Rolleyes He is only have not even 1 full season yet! He only make debut last season when Kardec was injur and he score 3 goals where Neymar score 43...

He is not ready to move to European team yet, he was already in Benfica in youth squad but was no ready and he move back to Brasil.

He need to stay in Santos and get few seasons experience to see how he develop, he is in Brasil under 20 squad also.

He is similar type of player like neymar with skill but nowhere near as consistant, he is ok to beat player but his need to work more on finish and final pass.

Maybe in 2 - 3 good season for us he be ready to move but best thing for now is for his career to stay and develop now he is play in first team.

He is probably be play on Thursday when we play Corinthians, so will be interesting to see how he do then. I will post the highlight of games on here anyway so if he score you will see Smile
