Now finished the second episode and it was just as bad as the first if not worse. What happened to the thoughtful plots and logical deduction of the first two series? Holmes has become nothing more than a caricature and since when did he have a sister?

I avoid anything with Benedict Cumberbatch in it, and Martin Freeman disappeared up his own arse when the office finished.

The first two series were excellent, the third was good but not great, it started to go downhill with the Abominable Bride christmas special and continued that trend with this series. Not too sure about Freeman disappearing up his own arse but Cumberbatch certainly has, he,s a complete twat.

I agree, given how lame a certain Doc has become, it was bound to happen with this too.
The acting is fine given what they have to work with (both shows), but they are no longer the quality programming they should be (imo).
I stopped watching Doctor Who because for me, it started scoring less than 5 out of 10 continually. Terrible plots that rip off other stuff too.
The first episode of Sherlock I would give a 6, not bad, but could have been better, this second episode a generous 4, the ending didn't save it. I was tempted to switch off halfway through, but got to the end. Meh.
