RE: Baseball
And stupid old me forgot to post the results. Not many surprises. The winners in full:

American League MVP: Mike Trout LA Angels
National League MVP: Kris Bryant Chicago Cubs
American League Cy Young: Rick Porcello Boston
National League Cy Young: Max Scherzer Washington
American League Manager of the Year: Terry Francona Cleveland
National League Manager of the Year: Dave Roberts LA Dodgers
American League Rookie of the Year: Michael Fulmer Detroit
National League Rookie of the Year: Corey Seager LA Dodgers

The only result that was at all controversial was the American League Cy Young result. Rick Porcello edged out Justin Verlander, despite more sports writers voting Verlander in first place on their ballots. But, the convoluted rules system had Porcello sneak it. Bad call IMO.

RE: Baseball
Been without a PC since the week of the World Series.....so this is very late but WOW Big Grin I enjoyed the whole series and it ended up being pretty emotional at the end. The playoffs and WS even got my girlfriend enjoying watching baseball (I'm still struggling to get her around to NFL and college football lol).

I've followed the Cubs since the early 90's when following the Chicago Bulls got me in to other American sports, so I've not waited as long as some fans but I'm sincere when I say that to finally do it and win the WS is really special to me.

With Leicester winning the league too, this is the best sporting (calendar) year I think I've ever had lol!

Some more terrible news for Baseball fans tonight. It's emerging that Kansas's young pitcher Yordano Ventura and his pal Cleveland's Andy Marte have been killed in separate car crashes in their native Dominican Republic. Awful.

RE: Baseball
Indeed, Baseball season is back. Thank fuck. I was watching some of the Dodgers game tonight - turned off during the 7th inning L.A. were cruising 11-2. My Tigers opening game @White Sox was annoyingly called off due to rain. Typical !

I watched some of the Dodgers game too when I got in from work, I'm definitely adding Dodger stadium to my list of places I want to visit, looks perfect for an afternoon watching a game. Off work tomorrow and the Cubs play (technically for us) twice so I should bee able to watch both games. Happy days Big Grin

^ Neris and Philadelphia added to that list, gave up 3 solo homers in 9th to tie game and was responsible for the winning run as Dodgers scored 4 in 9th to win 6-5
