Top Boy

Just watched season 1 and 2 of top boy a ch4 programme about the gang scene somewhere in London, hackney I think. Wasn't expecting much but its really good, great characters with solid acting.

it's a good show, would recommend it to anyone. they (the street dealers) obviously learned their drug dealing techniques from episodes of 'the wire'.

I thought Top Boy was great, hope we don't have to wait too long for the next series

Yeah, the first series was 2011 and the second one in 2013 wasnt it, bit of a long wait alright. The way they left it they have to do a 3rd season, be a terrible shame for a great show like that to get scraped

I think Channel 4 will def renew for another series (if they haven't already), just with how the last series ended and Channel 4 are quite faithful to home grown drama that might not quite have the viewing figures other channels want to green light new seasons
