Because Uruguay had a difficult qualifying campaign and only made it in the end through a play off, plus their captain can't get in the West Brom team. They have great forwards but otherwise are pretty average. I don't know why people in this thread are so frightened by them.

I'm not sure people are frightened of them. I'd say people recognize that their main two forwards are probably two of the best in the world at present and are better players than England has.

Not sure there is an out and out 'group of death' but B (Spain, Holland, Chile, Australia) and G (Germany, Portugal, Ghana, USA) both look like they could be fiery affairs.

I really can,t see how England,s group can be any worse than it is, Uruguay, italy and and a very underrated Costa Rica. First game to be played at 2am our time in 99% humidity, we will be lucky to get a bloody point.

it could have been worse the draw could've been made at random and we got, Brazil, Germany and Spain

It will be 99% humidity for Italy too. Same for both sides.

The last time we played Italy they gave us a lesson in football, we were lucky to get to a penalty shootout.
