photoshop users have a look

Hey BigChuck, great first try! You've done really well with it considering the original. Unsurprisingly given how dark the original is you've got some colour noise in parts (not sure if you used a noise reduction filter?).

Although subjective, I think you've maybe exposed it just a little too much, and if you hadn't made it quite so light, maybe you could have retained a little more detail. Also, the colours look a little luminous (the grass looks a bit too green).

What tool did you use to remove the time stamp - did you use the clone tool? Its a very difficult tool to use - you may have slightly better results if you reduce the hardness of the brush?

thanks, thats the kind of feedback i was wanting, i was well happy with it for a first attempt.

i see what you mean with the colours, i was messing about with the adjustments trying to get the right balance, and it was the clone tool i used for most of it, i used the colour brush for some of the leg as the dog has those marks there. I'll try with a different hardness the next time.

I'm a bit of an amatuer at photoshop at the moment as I only downloaded 2nite and the last photoshop I used was photoshop 6 and I can't remember anything from it!
Do you or anyone else know how to use the clone tool?
