Eusébio -RIP

Portuguese footballer Eusébio da Silva Ferreira has died this morning at the age of 71.

He played international football between 1961 to 1971.

I personally think that he was the second best footballer ever (Pele is my no1)

A fantastically talented and gifted footballer.

Legend in every sense of the word.

I am too young but my dad saw him play a couple of times and was a huge fan. He rated him as highly as Best. Sad day for Portugal.

Eusébio often appears in best player of all time lists. He was 7th in the UEFA Golden Jubilee Poll of European players, he's rated 9th in the world by the Federation of Football History and was 10th in a poll by the World Soccer magazine.

Legend is a word that's often used at inappropriate times. Not this time - here it is deserved. A giant among men in his era of the beautiful game, when it truly was beautiful.
